Music fans from across the world were waiting eagerly in anticipation for Beyonce to make history.
The 22 time Grammy Award winning singer shocked fans today as she announced that she will be unable to perform at Coachella 2017. Following the advice of her doctors, the singer understandably made the announcement to her fans via her Facebook page: Following the advice of her doctors to keep a less rigorous schedule in the coming months, Beyoncé has made the decision to forgo performing at the 2017 Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival.’
No doubt fans who had bought their tickets were extremely disappointed, many of them taking to social media to voice their frustrations. One tweeter said: ‘Beyoncé isn't performing at Coachella now and I'm praying they find someone better or equally as good as her or I'm demanding a refund.’
It’s not all bad news though. Coachella shortly announced that Beyonce would be performing next year at Coachella 2018; however, they are yet to announce who will be replacing her as the headliner for this year’s festival.
Fans who have already purchased tickets can hopefully look forward to the performances of other artists such as Radiohead, Kendrick Lamar and Kaytranada.
