Calvin Harris has announced that he is officially working closely with “the greatest artists of this generation”, in a super collaboration between himself, Atlanta’s Migos and the one and only Frank Ocean. After weeks of subtle hints at a potential project, the DJ officially unveiled the upcoming single titled “Slide”.
Announcing the news he wrote: "More joyful music in 2017. I feel like it's missing from the world. And it was missing from my life. So I created it !!!! ... I worked with the greatest artists of our generation !!! I'm in the mixing stage now. I listen back and can't believe what we created !!!!! ... Not feel good music. Feel INCREDIBLE music."
He didn’t reveal everything though. He stopped just short of specifying a release date. He did reveal however that the entire Migos team would be on the track, rather than just Offset who had been rumoured to be the only member of the trio on the track. For Frank Ocean, this will be his first track since the release of his Billboard topping, summer defining album Blonde.
An active user of Snapchat, Harris has been teasing snippets of the release via the platform. Our initial thoughts are that this is going to end up as a major summer anthem. We’ve got one of the snippets here:
