It was a very special edition of OVO Sound Radio tonight. Drake announced a new project coming in December.

In a typically reflective monologue, the 6 God revealed that on an unspecified date in December, he will drop a new project titled 'More Life'. In an interesting turn he stated that the project was a "playlist" of "original music". In a climate where nobody seems to know the difference between a mixtape, an EP and an album, it will be fascinating to see how Drake dropping the world 'playlist' into the mix affects how other artists will label their projects.

You can read the announcement and listen to one of the tracks below:

"I'm off mixtapes you know. I want to do a playlist. I want to give you a collection of songs that become the soundtrack to your life so, this is More Life, the playlist. It's dropping in December, all original music from me. You might hear some tunes from the family on there but, I'm just really excited you know. I had a great tour. I had a great summer. And most people I guess would probably go take a break, but for me I just want to get right back to it. Be with the people again. Boy meets world tour. Coming up soon. UK I'll be there soon big up to Massive. Paris, Amsterdam, Sweden. Anywhere we're touching down. But yeah, I just want to celebrate life. More life, that's what we live by. That's something that we don't take for granted.

So today, like I said, you're getting some new music. I'm not going to tell you how many songs it is - I'm just going to let you hear it. I know most people probably think I'm dropping like one song but you know, me I like to make all the listeners and all the fans happy and at the same time, ruin these guys [the competition] day you know."
