Following his year-long hiatus travelling through countries such as Ghana and Japan with his girlfriend, Ed Sheeran returned to the music world and made history.

Two of his songs, ‘Shape of You’ and ‘Castle On The Hill’ entered the UK singles chart at number one and two. Sheeran is the first artist in history to take the top two chart positions with brand new songs. Speaking on why he took such a long break from music, the UK pop star said he felt he needed to give fans a chance to miss him. Ahead of his highly anticipated third album ‘÷’ (divide) which will be released on March 3, he has gifted us with a new video.

The theme of the video shows the popular Brit in a different light. Showcasing his impressive weight loss, Ed Sheeran sports a lean look training in the boxing gym with actress Jennie Pegouskie from ‘Fresh Pair.’ The ‘Rocky’ inspired video is a perfect fit considering Sheeran has recently lost 50 pounds by changing his diet and cutting down on alcohol. The catchy song is a number one hit which will no doubt be playing on all radio stations this year. The video which was directed by Jason Keonig who also directed Macklemore and Ryan Lewis’ ‘Can’t Hold Us’ also features a cheeky cameo from the rapper himself. The pair are good friends and Macklemore has previously welcomed Ed Sheeran to perform at his concerts. Ed Sheeran recently starred on the cover of GQ; coming a long way from the days when he was named as one of the worst dressed men by the magazine. Ed Sheeran will be performing on Saturday Night Live on February 11th which will officially cement his comeback.
