In a personal reflection, the influential model shows us how important it is to take a moment to relax amidst our work and travel.
Writing on her own personal website, the Jenner revealed that she had learned some breathing exercises to help her cope with the pressures associated with stardom. Reflecting on her personal ‘peaks and pits’ over the last twelve months, she wrote: “anxiety was a huge hurdle for me to deal with this past year (and security concerns didn't help), but I think I'm finally learning how to cope. I once had a really bad attack on a plane and just had to ride it out.”
She continued, “I felt my heart beating a million miles an hour and I even went a little numb.” Today she says that she is getting better at relaxing while working and traveling. She said “I’ve learned that it’s all mental, so I try to prevent anxiety attacks by bringing my mind somewhere else.”
She further reflected by saying that she missed her family when she was away working. The model, who turned 21 last year, spends a lot of time traveling the world on fashion engagements such as November’s Victoria Secret show in Paris.
She wrote, “the hardest part about my job is being away from home so often. "I miss my sisters, the rest of my family and my friends so much when I'm away. But, it makes the time we have together that much more special.”
The reflections paint an interesting portrait of success.
Jenner is one of the most successful public figures under 35 in the world. Harper’s Bazaar recently ranker her as one of the 150 most fashionable women in the world, and she made the highlight of any model’s career, the cover of Vogue Magazine in September 2016.
She wrote: “The fact that I was on the cover of any Vogue was mind-blowing, but the September Issue was beyond anything I could've imagined. I can't wait to see where 2017 takes my career, but I know I have big plans.”
