On Tuesday (November 14th, 2017), Forbes Magazine recognised 30 of music's most promising stars with the release of their highly anticipated annual 30 Under 30 list.
The list shines a light on young people making major moves across a multitude of industries. In the music category, the artists were selected by Skylar Grey, Kevin Olusola, and Bob Moczydlowsky.
Some of the most exciting names on the list include Travis Scott, Playboi Carti, SZA and Cardi B.
Their selection is deserved. Cardi B secured her first ever Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 and went platinum with "Bodak Yellow". SZA's debut album CTRL has become a cult classic, garnered her two platinum singles, and debuted at No. 3 in the Billboard 200 charts.
The magazine also recognised some of the producers and engineers behind the largest tracks of the year. For example, 21 year old Wondagurl had a large part to play in Big Sean's album 'I Decided', as well as Lil Yachty's 'Teenage Emotions'. Another producer selected was Kesha Lee, who was the mastermind behind the Migos's smash hit "Bad & Boujee"
