Founded in 1946 by Pierre Balmain, the fashion house was acquired by a Qatari investment fund called Mayhoola and Investments for €500 million. Shot into the mainstream by creative director Olivier Rousteing, who is frequently photographed with your favourite celebrities from Kylie Jenner to Cindy Crawford, the brand has become somewhat iconic.
A new design has emerged online recently which could be revolutionary. Football team Paris Saint Germain have unveiled a new kit in collaboration with Balmain. The tight-fitting navy jersey is the best-looking kit in sport and combines two important elements in culture with effortless style.
