Alongside the return of the iconic Converse One Star stands Ama Lou.
I recently covered Ama in a previous article (which you can view here) where I spoke about how the London based singer-songwriter is on the verge of something special; and how her music is a beautiful concoction of various other excellent RnB stars.
Now, she is at the forefront of the Converse One Star campaign.
In an interview with ASOS she explained her love for Converse as a brand saying:
‘They have history and I’m obsessed with the history of brands and clothes. I feel like Converse has never compromised on its ethos. Pop culture has changed so much over the years and they’ve never moved away from their place towards the hype. They’ve stayed true to what they represent and the people they represent.’
Ama also released a self-directed promo video for the campaign, shot by her sister, Mahalia, which is available to view on Ama’s instagram - @amaloumusic.
