Travis Scott took to SoundCloud last night (Monday, May 14th) and shared three fresh tracks. The first is called “A Man”, and it finds Scott rapping over a raw instrumental. “Butterfly Effect” is a melodic track and “Green & Purple” features Playboi Carti.
Since the release of his 2016 album, Birds In The Trap Sing McKnight, Scott has been on his Birds Eye Tour, released a short film called “Birds In The Trap”, and appeared on Frank Ocean’s “Lens” and SZA’s “Love Galore”. He’s set to join Kendrick Lamar soon to perform in his DAMN. tour.
Fans will have been expecting some tracks - since Travis promised that he would release new music. The move comes two days after Scott was arrested in Rogers, Arkansas for “inciting a riot”.
According to TMZ, the rapper was dragged away by police officers immediately after the concert and was booked for inciting a riot, endangering the welfare of a minor, and disorderly conduct. Scott was released without bail a couple of hours later and will have to return to Arkansas for a court date.
The incident represented the second time that Scott has been arrested during a performance. Back in 2015, he was arrested for encouraging fans to jump over security barricades during his set at Lollapalooza in Chicago.
