IAMDDB has returned with another luscious track. This one's called "More".
On the track, IAMDDB opts to take a more subtle sonic direction. Her vocals ride elegantly over the slow RnB instrumental beat. Released initially as part of her Hoodrich 3 album, IAMDDB dropped the video for the song on September 28th. The video was co-directed by KC Locke and IAMDDB. Incidentally, the duo also linked up to produce the instrumental track. The video follows her previous single "Shade".
In a recent interview, the artist reflected on her alternative style of music, which she defines as Urban Jazz. She said, “I love harmonies and I feel like the UK is lacking that vibe, I’m really proud of our music, but I don’t see people doing different music, who just want to have fun with it”. She noted that Jazz has a massive influence on her sound, having once traveled to Angola with her father and performed at the National Jazz Festival there. Around that time she also performed in front of the President of Angola. Other influences on her sound include artists such as African Jazz player Jimmy Dludlu, Lianne La Havas and Manuel De Brito.
She is currently on her October Tour, which will see her perform in Italy, Spain and the UK during the month.
