Wiley, Skepta and Belly team up on smooth new love joint ‘You Were Always’

Grime Kings Wiley and Skepta collaborate on a track with a different sound to what we’re used to.

Girl trouble? We’ve all been there and so have Wiley and Skepta according to the new track the pair have teamed up on.

The song titled ‘You Were Always Part Two’ details a failing relationship cemented by a catchy hook by North London artist Belly. Unlike the usual fast paced Grime numbers, we’re used to, the pair come together over a smooth RnB beat which samples the track ‘Fine Time’ by legendary RnB group SWV. It is the second part of the original track ‘You Were Always Part One’ by Roll Deep – Wiley’s crew. Keeping it cool with their fast flows and hard hitting lyrics, in a rather dark video the Grime dons keep it real about their relationships. The song will be featured on Wiley’s upcoming album ‘Godfather’ which is expected to come out in January 2017 and will feature other grime heavyweights such as JME, Newham Generals, Chip, Lethal Bizzle, and P Money. Earlier in the month Wiley released a fast pace track with Devlin titled ‘Holy Grime.’

‘You Were Always’ has a slightly smoother vibe, check out the video below:
