Well, it looks like he’s going to deliver on his promise.
Remember when Kanye told us that he was going to lower the prices of his Yeezy Season 3 collection? At the time, all that many of us could see were the ridiculously high prices and impractical desolate, military inspired pieces.
But it appears we had nothing to fear. He said “We’re gonna get them lower, we’re gonna get them lowered next season”, and the drop today proves his point. Some of the items included are now 50% less than they were in Season 1, which represents a dramatic fall in the cost of his apparel.
That said, these pieces are hardly cheap. One of his coats is going for around $1,500. His hoodies are around $350, and shirts under $200. This suggests that Kanye’s pieces are still going to be seen as luxury purchases by the majority of us.
The line debuted all the way back in February, during the listening party in Madison Square Garden, where Kanye dropped the The Life of Pablo. The line is more colourful than its predecessors, comprised of passionate reds, yellows and oranges in addition to Kanye’s signature colour neutral designs.
I guess the biggest question now is, where can one actually purchase the Season 3s. According to GQ, it will be available in Black Market USA in Texas. For those of us who don’t actually live in Texas, and can’t afford the flight down there, it will be in Flannels in England and the Kith Store in New York. In fact, you can check it out here:
That’s it from us. As we all know, Yeezy’s clothes sell out faster than Rooney loses the ball in a United shirt. So good luck, and Godspeed.
